The Crooked Practice of Law
The old law building at Drake University. Des Moines, Iowa. The building sat empty awaiting its new residents when I came by. This photograph was taken in the summer of 1995 just before classes were to get underway for the fall semester. I had secured a scholarship to study Journalism there. Unfortunately, the money was not right. It turns out they raised their prices every year, and at that time they were only printing their catalog every other year. I found myself there on the off year, and to make a long story short, I was just too short on funds to stick around. I did get a few cool pictures in the time that I was there at least.
