PHP Web Developer Statement
Well Rounded
I am a web developer with a wide array of skills, a broad knowledge base from which to draw from and many years of experience working with the web.
I have worked in a number of environments from startups just getting off the ground taking new ideas and shaping them to a workable prototype, to coming in to fine tune performance issues and make enhancements to established sites. I have worked to help build online businesses and refocus their strategies to crafting effective search engine optimization efforts and written both content and documentation for all of the above throughout.
At the highest levels, I feel that I have a great understanding of how to approach online businesses and at other levels lots of experience in the nitty gritty details of implementation, from the architecture and hardware, to databases design and performance, to writing well crafted code following industry standard best practices.
Overall this makes for a well rounded, mature perspective when it comes to doing online business and developing online businesses that I take pride in. With that said, I am looking to make my next professional move.
My Approach
As a web developer, while I have a number of talents and a wide variety of skills, I pride myself on my ability to take a methodical and responsible approach to web development. I strive to write code of the highest standard, clean, well documented, efficient and extensible. My technologies of choice are PHP, MySQL, Unix/ Linux, and Apache, otherwise known as the LAMP stack. I have been working with these technologies for years from both an administration and development angle.
As more of an online strategist, again, I have a lot of experience to bring to bear. From basic online strategy, to gaining top search engine placements, I focus on results, user centered design, and the user experience keeping in mind business goals as the guiding principle. I believe I have more than a good intuition and a gut that serves me well in making critical decisions that affect a company's online bottom line.
Overall, I take pride in the way I go about approaching and solving problems, whether they be technical, or otherwise, always with a cool head, and a systematic approach. I am always up for a challenge, driven, self motivated, resourceful and ambitious.
Actively Seeking
At this point I am looking for a solid opportunity, to be part of a team, to be a part of something much larger then myself and not to mention, excitement in my career. I am not just looking for a job but something more.
